JOYA (pronounced Hoya) is the Spanish word for “gem” or “jewel”, which describes these important facets of our program:

• The Garnet Neighborhood (or Gem District) of Fullerton
• The extraordinary value the children and their families are to us
• The jewel that is higher education in overcoming poverty.
